LEONARDTOWN, Md. – St. Mary’s County Government’s Department of Recreation & Parks (R&P) is thrilled to present TARZAN®: The Stage Musical this summer for the 43rd production of Summerstock. Performances will be held at Chopticon High School on July 18–20 and July 25–27, 2025, with a total of 8 shows.
TARZAN®: The Stage Musical, based on Disney’s 1999 animated film of the same name, is an unforgettable theatrical experience featuring high-flying excitement and heart-pumping hits. Fans of the animated film will enjoy recognizable songs from the animated film like the unforgettable “You’ll Be in My Heart,” along with nine new tunes.
This year’s venue change to Chopticon High School ensures that the production has access to the best facilities to bring the jungle to life while Great Mills High School undergoes maintenance.
Ticket can be purchased online beginning July 1, 2025, and will also be sold at Chopticon High School the day of the show, starting one hour before showtime. Don’t hesitate as some shows may sell out in advance.
