Chesapeake Bay Detachment Private Drinking Water Well Sampling Open House on Sept.10 (5 to 7 p.m.), located at Beach Elementary School Cafeteria, 7900 Old Bayside Road, Chesapeake Beach, MD – The U.S. Navy, in partnership with state and county agencies, will provide information on PFAS testing in private drinking water wells near NRL-CBD and offer residents the opportunity to schedule free well sampling. 4th Annual One More Light Suicide & Mental Health Awareness Walk on Sept. 6 (6 to 8 p.m.), located at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 225 Alexander Lane, Solomons, MD – Join this meaningful walk to honor lives lost, support loved ones, and raise awareness for suicide prevention and mental health.
