INDIAN HEAD, Md. – On November 24, a school administrator at Henry E. Lackey High School became aware of a student in possession of a vaping device. Upon further investigation, the student was found to be in possession of three devices containing THC.

The school resource officer charged the student on a juvenile citation with possession of cannabis. The student also faces consequences from the CCPS in accordance with the student code of conduct.

Parents are urged to talk with their students about the dangers of consuming products that contain unknown substances and the serious health risks and complications these substances may cause.
