INDIAN HEAD, Md. – Two occupants were rescued from a crushed vehicle Tuesday evening following a head-on crash that left one car overturned in the 4800 block of Livingston Road.

Emergency crews responded around 6:40 p.m. on March 25, 2025 after callers reported a two-vehicle collision with occupants trapped and a large oil spill on the roadway.

Responders arrived to find both vehicles heavily damaged, with two occupants trapped. Firefighters worked for nearly 45 minutes to remove a vehicle roof and pull back a dashboard, ultimately freeing the injured occupants.

EMS evaluated both patients on the scene and transported them to UM Capital Region Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
