MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — St. Mary’s County Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded today, Feb. 21, to a two‑vehicle collision with reported injuries in the area of Three Notch Road and Mar‑A‑Lee Drive.
The incident was dispatched at 1:54 p.m. as a Basic Life Support call after reports of a crash with airbag deployment. A subsequent dispatch at 2:01 p.m. upgraded the assignment to include Advanced Life Support resources due to the nature of the injuries reported.
Fire and emergency personnel assessed the involved occupants, initiated patient care, and prepared for extrication operations as requested. Information regarding patient(s) and transport destinations was not immediately available.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
