U.S. Navy Blue Angels Will Return To Maryland In 2025 & 2026

PATUXENT RIVER, Md. — Naval Air Station Patuxent River has announced that The Pax River Air Show is back! Scheduled for June 20-21, 2026, the event will feature the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, delighting fans with their thrilling flight demonstrations.

The news was shared with excitement on Naval Air Station Patuxent River’s Facebook page: “Cat’s out of the bag! The Pax River Air Show is back!” the post read.

The U.S. Navy Blue Angels released their 2026 air show schedule on Dec.11, 2024, at the International Council of Airshows (ICAS) conference held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“The mission of the United States Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron is to showcase the teamwork and professionalism of the United States Navy and Marine Corps by inspiring a culture of excellence and service to country through flight demonstrations and community outreach,” said the Blue Angels on their website.

During the 2025 season, the squadron will also be celebrating the United States Navy’s 250th anniversary. In preparation for the 2025 season, the Blue Angels selected five new officers to join their team. These officers include two F/A-18E/F Super Hornet pilots, a C-130J Super Hercules pilot, an Events Coordinator, and a Flight Surgeon to replace outgoing team members.

“It’s always a challenge selecting new officers for the team because we have so many highly qualified applicants,” said Cdr. Alex Armatas, commanding officer and flight leader of the Blue Angels, on their website.“We are thrilled to introduce the new officers for the 2025 show season and excited to see what each of them bring to our demonstration team in 2025.”

Throughout the year, fans can catch the Blue Angels at various locations, including the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland on May 21 and 23, 2025, and Ocean City, Maryland on June 14 and 15, 2025.
