LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — Emergency crews responded Sunday evening to a reported shooting in Lexington Park, according to dispatch records.
The incident was reported at approximately 7:09 p.m. on April 12, 2026, in the 21600 block of Susan Lane.
Initial reports indicated a possible gunshot victim; the scene area was not yet secure as first responders arrived. Units staged nearby while awaiting law enforcement to secure the scene. A Medevac is on standby.
Authorities reported a 55-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. A tourniquet was applied at the scene to control bleeding.
A medical helicopter was placed on standby as crews assessed the patient’s condition.
Additional details regarding the victim’s condition or any suspects were not immediately available.
