
LEONARDTOWN, Md. — A 20-year-old man was airlifted Monday, Oct. 6, 2025, after falling through the roof of a barn along Blake Creek Road near Blake Farms Lane.
First responders were dispatched around 11:15 a.m. for reports of a fall with injuries. Upon arrival, EMS crews found the man suffering from leg and head injuries after reportedly falling through the barn’s roof.
EMS requested a medevac for the patient due to the severity of his injuries. Firefighters established a landing zone near the old Second District Volunteer Fire Department station to accommodate Maryland State Police Aviation Command’s Trooper 2 helicopter.
The patient was flown to UM Capital Region Medical Center for further treatment.
